Memory Foam - Does this stuff really work???
So, a while back I got a memory foam mattress pad. I know already people swear by their memory foam pillows, but the mattress pads? Growing up, my parents always insisted a firm bed was better for your back. Shit, my grandpa slept on a piece of plywood with a blanket over it. Anyway, wanted to see what the consesus was out there. I swear, there are some mornings I wake up and my back hurts. Is it the pad??????? Pillow talk is welcome too.

I bought a tempurpedic about 7 months ago after years of wanting one.
Money well spent. Best night's sleep ever. When I travel sleeping on springed matresses in hotel rooms is torture! Best of all is a sound investment. They give you a 10 year warranty on it and there are people online claiming absolutely no loss of support after 12 years of use. 2 of my friends had owned their basic level mattress for 5 years by the time I bought mine and they felt the same as the day they were delivered. |

Are these things proven to be effective for people with bad backs? Anyone heard of a chiropractor suggesting to get one? I dunno, sometimes I feel like I've gotta dig myself out of the hole in my pad in the mornings.

skip the mattress pads. just go and splurge on the tempur pedic mattress. best money ive ever spent. you figure you sleep 1/3 of your life better make it worth while. think how much youve spent on you car you drive maybe an hour a day. the tempur pedic is warranted for 10 years and ive had mine for 2 now and it still feels brand new. no broken down areas like with the spring. and ive never felt like i had to crawl out of a hole wither. its actually pretty firm but w/little to no pressure points.
one down side though. you loose the "fun" bouncy action of a spring mattress, if you catch my drift. you just gotta work harder... time to do more sit ups |
