Kid crashes his week old M3 and lies about it

Car is a week old.
He claims someone left their sprinklers on which wet the street causing the car to hydroplane while it was in cruise control going 55 in a 45.
Crashes into a tree.
Posts it on the internet.
The tires are dry.
The car is dry.
He was caught posting in another sub that he was "sending it".
He posted a picture driving an Alfa Romeo to prom, which he claims is "my second pride and joy"
Said Alfa has a "FAKE TAXI" sticker on it.
The latest claim is that this M3 isn't even his car, but is posting someone else's for attention.

Lying about what happened in itself is already a red flag, parents didn't teach their kid to own up to his actions.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would purchase an M3 for their 16-18 year old kid. I can't think of a reason, can someone enlighten me?

Answer: Parents are too busy to parent, and did not realize what a self-entitled little brat their boy has become, never likely having had any actual consequences to his actions and his parents always shield him from it, they only see their son through rose colored glasses and believes he has to live up to the parent's status in society. Showing to their friends that they brought their kid a Honda civic is not going to get you far in their dinner parties when their friends brought their kids Range Rovers

Personal opinion, In almost all cases, the kid end up this way because the parents who forgot to show humility, or parents are already rich douche bags and the boy just follows in their foot steps. Plenty of children raised surrounded in wealth grew up to be responsible humble members of society. This kid clearly did not

Man that's gotta be the dumbest excuse ever. Not to mention the cops would see the road isn't wet.

On my drive to work the city sprinklers do a better job at watering the concrete than the grass on the median. But I've never sent my M3 off the road and into a tree.

I washed the M2 last night for fun, as I do (it's always clean), and this morning on my way to work there was a construction company doing work, spraying water as they demolished stuff. I was on a 5-lane, and they were covering my 2 lanes in water/dust/crap, so I waited for a gap and pulled to the complete opposite side of the highway to go around without a speck of dust. I've done this several times in the past, and always drive around any water in the road (regardless of what lane I have to use) and can't ever remember having an accident because of it.
