I hate the rear of this almost as much as the panamera. I also think the front end looks like a low-end aftermarket piece. Only thing I really like is the roofline.

am i the only one that thinks it's sin ugly?
related but unrelated, i had a friend that had a 350z, it was such a rattlebox. i imagine that a 370z will be as much of a rattlebox as the 350 will eventually. |

Not on this website....13.8 was the best run for the old
350Z............! (Comparatively, a 335i coupe does it in 13.4 in this website) Admit that it's quick

/\ I've got 3 friends with 350's and none of them rattle.
I was just with one of those buddies today. I definitely like the 370 better than the 350. From the sounds of the review they seemed to have fixed a couple of the bigger problems with the older model.

Three things worth noting:
"Overall, Nissan's engineering teams managed to slice 225 pounds out of the package, although the addition of safety features and convenience equipment put most of it back. In the end, the 2009 Nissan 370Z is only 95 pounds lighter than the 350Z it replaces." (3360lbs) "3.7-liter VQ37VHR (Very High Revving)" - I just thought this was a joke for an engine codename. "Very high revving"? That's almost as funny as Honda's "Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive". "You feel even smarter if you use the SynchroRev Match option (part of the Sport package) for the manual transmission, a system of electronic switches that automatically blips the throttle for you during downshifts. It does its job so perfectly that it translates both into painless crawling in commute traffic at low speeds and improved chassis equilibrium and faster entry speed into corners at high speeds."

and VVEL stands for Variable Valve Event and Lift altho it does rev kinda high (redline is 7600) edit: another thing that makes a difference is whether this car was 6MT or 7AT... the 7AT is much faster than 6MT |

Just saw one of the new Maximas at Costco. The one that has the similar lights as the 370z. Man, it looked NICE. Much much better than it does in photos I've seen so far.
I haven't seen the 370z live yet but now I'm thinking it's going to look amazing in person. |

Disappointing, barely an improvement, with the exception of the handling which seems to be the biggest stride.
Not that I was going to buy one anyway. |

It will be fun for a tuned 335i to "toy" with a new 370Z...he he. But, if the numbers are accurate, then the new Z is a good match for a stock 335i (and beats it in handling)...impressive.
