Anyone else using Windows 7??

I'm loving it so far. Computer hasn't frozen yet, haven't lost my wireless signal, and everything I've tried so far has been compatible!

Looks just like Vista, cept for the taskbar...I've only used it for a day or 2 but it hasn't crashed or frozen...happened daily to me with Vista. Maybe it's just a coincidence, or I'm only noticing it because I'm looking for it but I like it.

Funny thing is, when I installed Windows 7, it already had drivers for my wireless...

When I installed Vista with Dec's updates, it did NOT have the drivers for my wireless card.

I've never had problems with Vista.... everyone complains a lot about it. I do lots of intense computer work WATCH HERE

Hopefully W7 is flawless

No technological product is flawless. I live eat and breathe Windows a good chunk of my day and nothing of theirs is flawless.

microsoft finally acknowledges the failures of Vista, and Windows 7 should take care of a lot of the problems.

WIndows 7 is _NOT_ based on vista, it is based on windows server 2008.. it's NOT vista with a lipstick

i tend to refrain from using MS OS's before SP1. most business do not make such transition because it is highly risky. i do not think you, as a consumer, should really make that move unless you, like me, like to play with new OS's and run them on virtual machines that you can toss away

show me proof. everything that i've ever read about windows 7 says it's merely a fixed up compatible version of vista.

it was announced at PDC

edit: some of the material i have is still NDA so i cannot post it but here:

basically windows 7 was a project parallel to vista, and is based on XP/Windows Server 2003

another edit: i was not personally at PDC, but the guy right next to me was, and he just confirmed. i saw all PDC videos from Channel9 tho (work requires that i do)
