truck suggestions

Hey guys, I was looking into getting a truck for the purpose of
1) reducing miles on my ///m when I'm just taking a short hop to the store.
2) Taking my dogs out every now and then.
3) haul my motorcycle (when I get it) not behind the truck, on the truck.
4) When I buy over sized items.

In other words I'm not looking for the latest tech and all this bling and add ons. Just a simple, cheap and fairly reliable truck that won't crap out on me the next day. I was looking at a 2000 F-150 (because I don't know much about trucks and that's the only truck I know off). Also, would a truck like that be able to tow my ///m or is it too underpowered or underweight? Thanks guys.

Id go for about a 2003 dodge ram 2500 diesel. My pops had one with a bully dog tuning chip and that thing would haul ass and get 25mpg.

Garage List
diesel is the way to go. I used to sell Ford F series trucks; i've seen diesel with high mileage and they still tick.

I've got a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd. Love Chevys, good all around all purpose truck. I use it to haul around my bikes for track days and it can definitely haul an ///M. Chose gas engine over diesel because I didn't need a heavy duty truck as a multi-purpose daily driver. It's got just the right amount of good looks and features without being overly bling. Good luck with your decision.

Avoid Dodge if you want reliability, Ford F150 if you want to be cheap, I dont recommend the older Ford Diesels, 2006 and up they are pretty strong and reliable.
