No, but beware of scams. I would not buy a watch online, only from an authorized dealer.
The reason why you see tags, breitlings, rolex, omegas, etc discounted so much online is because they are most likely knock offs. I say, if its too good to be true, probably is. I was in Torneau today, and they have a program where you can trade in your old watch for a new one

I am most likely going to buy my next watch at a jeweler who is authorized to sell what I am looking for. I was in Torneau today as well... I was very displeased with their snobish attitude and lack motivation to make a sale. It was probably due to the fact that I am younger but I came ready to buy. I will happily take my business elsewhere.

I just went though your delima!!
Most online retailers are not Authorized Dealers (AD). When you purchase a watch from a non AD you dont factory warranty, but most of the big ones will offer in house warranty. (I wouldn't want my $2000 watch repaired or worked on by nonother then the manufaturer!!) I've heard that some non AD also scratch the S/N of the watch!! If you are going to spend more then a $G then I would suggest you find a local(ish) AD and deal with them. To get the best possible price deal with small and pop shops, they are a lot more flexible on prices. What type of watch did you have in mind?? Also you can look at a watch forum, you mite find a good deal on a LNIB, or demo.. |

I just bought through an AD about 6 weeks ago, Breitling Super Avenger. Hit me up if you would like his contact info. He might be able to get you a better deal than your local AD. What has BB&B discounted you?

Check out the Breitling section on timezone.com, they can hook you up with a legit AD:

I bought a watch online through an authorized dealer so I got a great price with a full warranty (friends of Oris out of Australia).

I didn't read all the posts, but I believe you are talking about the watch collector, he's in ny and I have heard nothing but good things about him. He can find you whatever you are looking for, if you must go through and online dealer, I would deal with him OP...

yes I have just discovered this forum
I own an online watch web site ( www.swissbrandwatches.co.uk ) I have only a small selection on the site but can offer many more. We are based in the uk and although I say it myself we are very trustworthy and only sell genuine watches Happy to help Tom |
