My 370Z Review
Went to the local Nissan dealer and they had a pearl white 370Z touring with sport package/6MT.
Looks: For a small car, this thing looks big(wide)! Looking at it from the rear makes the car look super wide with its fenders. The taillights/headlights are nice and blend in with the overall design. The roof line reminds me of the GTR, which IMHO looks good on this car. The "fangs" aren't that bad in person, in pics they look weird. The forged Rays wheels look good on the car and come with the sport package. Performance: This is where I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! The 3.7 V6 makes 332 hp and 270 tq and has very nice and linear powerband. The torque in each gear is plentiful wether your merging on to a highway or your in cruising in 6th. I only drove about a few miles, so I didn't get to fully experience the car like I wanted to. Auto Revmatching 6MT- This is not a gimmick, it works flawlessly! It felt a bit weird at first just because I'm used to revmatching every time I downshift. Going from 3rd to 2nd the RPMS jump to to match the revs in the next gear just like a steptronic 335 would when you downshift with the pedals. This feature is one of those things that are hard to explain or understand, you have to go out and experience it for yourself. What makes me happy is Nissan gives you the option to turn on/off this feature with the press of the S (sport) button. This was the coolest thing about this car IMHO. Interier- I've only seen pics of 350z and hated how "plasticy" the dash was. Nissan has made the cabin with much better materials with the 370Z. Instead of plastic, the center console/dash is covered in leather like material and the quality of the dash/console is top notch. The seats are half "alcantara" and leather and were comfortable and supportive for me being 6 ft 220 Ibs. Pros: - Looks - Power - Transmission - Decent headroom/legroom Cons:- Not practical (for me) - Price ( ~$41,000 for 6mt/touring/sport/nav) - Exhaust could be sportier/louder

For £28K there is few sportscar on the ground that match it's performance, drivibility and it's 'proper' sportscar driving experience. Neither the TTv6 or the Z4 3.0si offer the kind of rawness or performance you get from the Nissan and when either is specced the same their price is a heck of a bit more besides.
The other important thing is that the name Nissan is comfortable with this price, unlike the hugely talented GTR V-spec. |

This isn't unlike the other reviews I've read.
I'm confused that you listed price as a con. It appears as though it's certainly a better value than the 335. |

Reason why I list the price as a con is because I wouldn't pay 40 grand for one. I would pay 34-35k tops. This car will be one hell of a deal a few years down the road as a used car.

I too was surprised about how wide the rear looked in person. It's difficult to appreciate this in photos only. Out of curiosity, which E92 do you have (328i, 335i)? |

I priced mine for $33.6k.
I plan on keeping another car so all the luxuries are unnecessary. Just give me the sport pack with the real brakes. I always wanted to do my own aftermarket head unit in the cubby of a Z anyway.

So sitting in the car,, is it bigger than the 350z? You gave headroom a +, and your 6-0ft.
When the 350z came out in 2003, my headhair, lol rubbed the headliner, and that sucked. Plus the fact it felt like I was in a very snugg bathtub. But the looks were very nice and fresh! Im 6-2 , mostly torso, and pretty broad. My dealer said they are still 2 months, and Im looking at testing one out. So what was your thoughts on the inside. This is more to someone who has sat in , or drove a 350z. |

I can't comment on the space 370z vs the 350z. I had the seat all the way back with about 1 inch of more travel and felt comfortable reaching the clutch, also seat cushion was as high as it goes and I had about ~ 3 inches of headroom left IIRC. I think I could wear a race helmet and be fine.

Nice review Amir. My bro has a 350z and I have always enjoyed driving his car, but I was worried about the auto revmatching feature in the 370 so its reassuring to hear that you can turn it off.
So, I guess you are suppose to just release the clutch after selecting a lower gear without giving it any gas on a downshift? That would take a while to get use to, and also make you a pretty rusty manual driver if you used that as your daily. I'll have to test drive one and try it out.
