F20 (B38) Service history
Hi All,
I am looking at buying a used 118i which the user states has "full BMW Service history" however, the seller has sent me service history information and all looks well except for one service linked below which suggests the oil change was overdue. Can you confirm based on the images that the 22 months/6k miles is referring to it being that much overdue at the time of the service? And if it was 22 months/6k overdue, is this a real issue and should I stay away from the vehicle? https://gyazo.com/4d0084d8b6c660ce97366808678fdee4 https://gyazo.com/dd9744941d87261b905ba5f729e804a6 Thanks in advanced. |

Hi.
Well, as iDrive experts keep their peace, you might want to know my (N13, no display like that - a "reduced" iDrive) opinion. I don't know B38 service intervals (you can inquire the owner I guess) by from my car's perspective (30000 km or 2 years settings from the factory) there's nothing "criminal" in your pictures: 3 months and no mileage overdue. The second picture doesn't look connected to the first one though and the reason for it's yellow "OK"s (meaning the "service was performed with a delay") is not clear: Condition Based Service (the manual I just linked, page 252)? You might want some quotes from the car's manual (if there's a detailed explanation of that display at all), or just see YouTube videos . And by the way, you could upload pictures on this site and make them displayed in the post. |
