List of M3s for sale at MSRP

This just amazes me... The E36 and E46 both had waitlist of over a year but the E92 can be had with ease at launch for MSRP... Just in Atlanta there are 3 coupes and 2 sedans...

BMW of South Atlanta: has a Red coupe at MSRP

United BMW Roswell has a Sparkling Graphite coupe and a Silverstone sedan both for MSRP

United BMW Gwinnett has Red Coupe and Sliverstone Sedan at MSRP

Nalley in Decatur has next to no waitlist and are selling them at MSRP

If you are looking to pay MSRP or a little less I would suggest looking into ordering your car through a broker such as www.cartelligent.com That is where I got mine from, that is also where my Dad ordered his M3 from, we both paid slightly less then MSRP due to the process that a broker acquires a car from a dealer, the dealer saves money by dealing with a broker becuase he does not have to pay a saleman a comission on the car.

if you don't mind me asking but what kind of discount did you both get on your cars? If you would rather PM I completely understand

Are you trying to say that the E92/90 M3 isn't any good because they are offering them at MSRP?

They are expensive, gas is about to hit $4 a gallon and we are pretty much in a recession, enough said.

IMO if Buffet says we are then we are, or at least we will be very very soon.

Is the price of gas going to stop anyone from driving an M3 like it was intended to be driven? My 71' Buick Skylark guzzles gas, and, it gets accelerated hard. Why have a 350 V-8 w/4-barrel and not open the secondaries? That's what it's for.

Oh no, not at all... But it does show how the demand is not the same as it was for the past two generations... Both the E46 and E36 had waitlist of over 1 year... There are many reasons as to why there are so many readily available, the economy, the increase competition and the increase first year production from BMW... On average dealers are getting 1-3 M3s a month so for some of the dealers to have 2 M3 not sold at launch, well it does speak volumes about one of the reasons above not sure which one... It will be very interesting to see the sales figures once they are released...

I think you have the impression that i hate M cars which is not the case... Infact tomorrow I am going to drive one to see how I like it... I have not fully crossed the car off my list, no matter what anyone else says about it or how it looks, how it drives is the most important thing...

I think the 135i market is going to be a little softer than most anticipate, as well. Not at launch, but a few months down the line... :iono:

^ It's unavoidable if the economy continues down this path. Not just for 135i, but any luxury car.

Has anyone here rethought their order because they're more concerned with job security or just tightening the spending reins in general? I have, but I'm still buying my 135i.

That's actually what I meant...I don't expect the 135i to do any worse than any other near-lux model.

We are headed toward a recession very quickly, but we are not in a recession quite yet.

Highest I have seen is 30K over totaling $100k in San Diego, north CA dealers seem to be asking just $5k over... but most of the country is asking MSRP with next to no waitlist for the ordering... I think the CA dealers are just trying to gouge some idiots, they will have to come back to earth very soon if they want to sell cars.

Well said. But it is in N.Hollywood, so they know that some A-Lister will walk in and give them whatever they want for it.

I heard alot of talk about it (the over list pricing) but i think i speak for MANY local dealers atleast that although this is a VERY popular car.. Most will not be charging over list for the new M3. Atleast my store is not and we only have a sedan and demo coupe (we wont sell for the time being) left. Crazy to here people asking that much over list...
