If that’s close to what the final design is then it’s not too bad at all. We shall see in a week or so’a time.

M version + extended shadowline (especially the black grill) and maybe it won't be so bad...

I actually like it. With a m sport kit for aggression I think it’ll look even more better. I think I’d be okay getting this

That grill with the vertical and angle slits is way too busy. Hard to find a focus point, as it is a distraction.

Looks good. Don’t really understand all the extreme dislike. I’m sure once it gets released my wife’s existing X3M will immediately look older. Hoping they do
make a new X3M to replace hers next year. |

The grille and headlight design ruin what would’ve been a traditional BMW design. I don’t understand.

The reports coming out of China aren’t good for German brands. China is going crazy with EV and they are so cheap that all German car makers lost double digits in sales. Thats good coz BMW forgot about us and started designing cars to appeal to China. What appeared like guranteed market is turning out to be anything but. Hope they change their design language now since China isn’t going to be a cash cow that they hoped for. This X3 is clearly designed to appeal to the Chinese market.

Really good looking except the grill imo, the sportier trims will probably be winners

Something is missing.. Probably because it is a render but just not enough defining lines. Too generic.. Why even leak images? Week after week something random, good way to get people like us talking I guess.. Decide on pricing depending one how much interest?

Why is it so hard for BMW to decide on a headlight design. DRL's are all over the place!

I'm struggling to find the right words for this, but does anyone else feel like the new BMW design language is "too chunky"?
My E34 was a slab of german steel, but it looked like it wanted to be aerodynamic. My E39 was muscular but svelte, and look liked it was designed to stick to the road. My pre-LCI G01 is acres of steel elegantly wrapped around things like it was cloth. This new design looks like the lego version of the X3. Other newer BMW designs are looking like that too to me. A lot of "bold" design features kind of clunkily slotted in the front or back end with a vanilla middle. |

I don’t think this is going to be the final design. The leaked photo is substantially different as far as side profiles are concerned. I think the final one will be much more iX like

Seems that BMW is changing their slogan to:
“The Ultimate (and Uglier) Driving Machine” But…let’s be fair and wait until it comes out. Everyone said the same of the G8x platform and yet… ![]() ![]()

If the ICE version has regular grill (not this riot of angles) then it’ll probably look good in person.
Hopefully this is just the electric version.
