Installed exhaust on the Mustang
Needed to get headers in so I could wire the O2 sensor for the EFI and didn't want to run open headers so I built the exhaust system.
Everything is clamped right now, will likely remove and weld up to the mufflers. Exhaust currently dumps in front of rear axle. Mufflers are Cherry Bomb M80 single chambers, all piping is 2.5" It's loud, but sounds awesome. |

I got a little sidetracked on day 2.
Got the car up to operating temp and discovered my transmission would not shift, checked atf and it was low so I started adding. Wife got home so I shut down to help put groceries away and when I came back I had a little fuel in my trunk, tightened fittings and went back about my business and when I returned to trunk I had a swimming pool of fuel in my trunk. The brazed through fitting on the fuel pump module had failed, when I called the company monday they said, "Oh yeah, that's why the 90s are flat so you can put a wrench there and counter torque, otherwise they sometimes break" It'd be nice if that was in the directions... Sooooo, new module here today, will pull old one, put pump on it, put a wrench on the damn flats while putting the AN fittings in, and be able to refire and hopefully get the transmission functional again, it worked last time it ran on carburation and definitely has a leak somewhere, but I wanted to be able to drive the car because it's hard to get the trans to temp to do the drain and fill with just sitting. Here's a short one before the failure though: https://youtube.com/shorts/Ov6v4pNIL...4xJUhEXC-hQXxT Oh and there are no windows in it and no drivers door, so you practically ARE outside the car, even when you're in. |

Which EFI kit did you go with? Buddy put a Holley on his sprayed bbc truck and it's so nice to not have to dick with the carb. He doesn't have the badass dash you do though.

It's a Holley Sniper as well, I bought it a few years ago second hand as a full kit with fuel tank, pump, sender, everything but fuel line and filter. I've had the system wired and plumbed up for quite a while now, but until I got the lift stands I had no legitimate way to get the exhaust up, or let's say, I didn't want to be in that claustrophobic space long enough to do the exhaust!

She's back up and running, got the fuel leaks solved, new sender in, got the transmission filled and shifting and tested the electric steering.
