BMW slang ??? E92,E90, and so on and so on
I'm new to the BMW world, ever since the wife got her 335i last year. I just can't get enough.
My question is, can somebody list what all the E stuff is about, like E92 and all the others. I just want to feel my mind with all the knowledge I can. I'm thinking about looking into selling them at a local dealer. |

E stands for "Entwicklung" or development, and represents a series of a particular model (I.E. the E46 was the 1999~2005 3 series including all body styles while Scotty lists the E9x current 3 series).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW Scroll down to "Series Generations" for a fairly accurate listing. While I wouldn't call the E numbers BMW slang, it can be viewed as jargon. Tom |

however we do call all current 5 and 6 series e6x but e6x does not include the e65, e66, and e67 7 series. also there are 2006 e46's. the 2006 3 series coupe and convertible are still e46's. e90/e91 came out as MY06 while the e92/e93 came out as MY07. |
