HELP!
Is it because I'm relatvely new to BMW that I think the '25 X3 looks awesome and a huge improvement over the previous gen? I had the same problem when they changed (God forbid) the grill on the 4 series. If I continue to own BMWs, at what point will I hate it when they change something?

You like what you like. It’s just a car. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Most people come around on the styling eventually. You just get there quicker.

Sometimes change doesn’t mean good, it’s simply change for changes sake, or to cut cost, as with the G45. Not just cars, but pretty much everything. I’ve had loads of BMW’s, but have chosen others brands when BMW produces a pig new series. BMW seems to cycle between poor design and material choices, and good. Pretty sure we will look back at the G45 as a pig in lipstick. Remember some people also bought these cars on the worlds ugliest top 10, including the BMW XM, which influenced the G45….. https://www.carthrottle.com/news/top...cars-ever-made |

I also think the G45's exterior looks much more aesthetically pleasing and interesting than the G01. The interior is a more mixed bag -- I like the screens and streamlined cockpit, and love the panoramic sunroof, but I don't like the garish ambient lights and the dashboard material. Still, I'm in the seemingly small minority that prefers the G45 and am glad I waited for it.

You get more complaints than satisfaction on forums in general. There are usually three categories of posters that don't like a new body style.
1. They just really dislike the new styling. 2. They have a prior gen and have remorse because theirs is now outdated and they lash out putting the new gen down to make themselves feel better. 3. They have a prior gen and truly think that the new gen is a downgrade. All of the above are OK. We are all allowed to have opinions. |

Some posters have blind ordered cars without seeing in the flesh or even driving, so pretty invested irrespective, and will defend and excuse to the death. But that’s OK. Honestly, the G01 is tired, it’s been around since 2017, so showing its age, although it appears to have been a BMW best seller. It’s just disappointing for those wishing to move to the next gen X3, as BMW did such a piss poor job, and it removes that option. Last edited by avi66; 09-22-2024 at 12:40 PM.. |

G45 looks like a minivan on steriods..
it has no body lines. now if you look at all previous gen of X3, they all had body lines. I have owned E83,F25,and G01 I still got luv for G45, but I dont like new gen. my2cents |

I’m torn on the G45 between the design inspiration being Peppa Pig or a pig from Angry Birds. Subconsciously, they are both pigs…… strange. |
