Took delivery today and lemme tell you it’s a beast. In sport plus gear shifts are violent thrusts forward. Let off the gas at 3k-4K rpm and immediate REAL burbles and pops that ring back pre LCI satisfaction. You can tell the increase in torque. Hold down the boost paddle for quick sport mode like overtaking without having to change the mode to sport mode. If you put the windows down it sounds like it has a blow off valve stock when letting off the gas.

Efficient mode with the high rolling resistance tires is great 30 MPG as claimed is true.

The mesh isn’t as bad as people think. Suspension is definitely plusher than the previous model. I’m on the east coast and my lease is $999 a month with 6k down thru equity in my last m40i with top tier credit scoring.

Thanks for the review. I saw the new X3 in person for the first time, although I didn’t drive it, and I think it looks better in person.

I notice your exterior is dune grey. Is your interior the calm beige? I’m leaning towards that combo.

Once the Sport mode is selected you can configure the drivetrain settings and some of them have a Sport Plus option e.g. Traction Control.

Hello. Nice looking car, looking forward to receiving mine. It looks like you have the M sport package with the upgraded headlights. Have you driven it at night? If so, any comments on how bright they are and how you like them? Thanks.

The headlights are notably brighter then on my 2023 m40i. But I also don’t yet have my windshield tinted.

Interesting about Sport Plus. I have a ‘22 X3 M40i and I don’t like driving in sport plus. I feel it skips some of the low end torque that makes the B58 special. Sport Plus feels much more at home in an S58 vehicle.

Wow I never really thought about what other people do with them but I didn't realize people just toss them! I love these things for some reason

I'm with you. I cannot even fathom throwing it away. I have always kept it for every new vehicle I have purchased and then pass it on to the next owner when I sell or trade it.

I always got a clean one folded up in my new car documents folder in addition to the one applied to the window. I keep them as well.

It just always was present in my last three vehicles that I can recall. They clearly were not the ones removed from the glass as they are in perfect and new condition with the peel-off backing still in place. I also know they were not the ones intended to be placed on the windows as I had seen those in place prior to prep. I assumed BMW generated a second copy for the owner's records. This has happened with 3 BMW and 1 MINI in the last decade.

I just checked my files and I actually have two clean copies for my 2 Series in the folder with the backing still in place.

It is well equipped. Although in person I found it hideous especially when next to other X3s and X5s. No it is actually not the grille. The door handles and protection beam above are ugly. Then the hood. It is the ugliest hood on BMW SUV history, elevated massively to presumably give room to the hybrid motor or cooling or to resolve the aero and drag coefficient vs windshield? It looks something more like Lexus 550 hood but that is a boxy car that deserves it. all makers have paid attention to this hood/ fender height ratio and gone for a high fender to hood ratio and subtle transition line. Get inside the car and so the hood towers even when seated! In person to me it looked hideous and disproportionate in its characterless side and overstated high hood. I am sure it will suffer as did other recent BMWs such as big grille. But difficult to propose clients when they have beautiful X5s X7s or lrevgen X3/ next to it, for clients to knowingly rush to get this one. Maybe it is designed to funnel people to the X5? Who knows or maybe BMW leftover designers are as eclectic as their varying outputs.

In sport mode u can pick regular sport or sport plus for drivetrain. U can give it all the settings as ur 2022. However the shift points are different. They have engineered a pulse forward almost like the electric hybrid gives a sudden pulse of torque. This is done mainly for exhilaration I don’t think it makes the car any faster. My 2023 definitely didn’t have the lurch forward on shift points under hard acceleration.
