X3 M50 Malfunctions

I’ve had about 15 BMWs and I’m familiar with various codes and malfunctions that come with owning this brand. That said, my new X3 M50 with ~700 miles on it has tallied up these errors to date:

- Pedestrian audible warning system failure
- Backup camera failure
- Drivetrain malfunction

I have not pulled the actual error codes using a scan tool. Luckily these all disappear when you turn the vehicle off and turn it back on, but the car is glitchy. Just posting this as a heads up.

We get the "pedestrian audible warning failure" once in a while. Does the car even have that option or was that for electric version cars? I can't imagine that it has to make audible noise outside the vehicle on an ice car.

I thought I’ve noticed that on very low acceleration from stop it will use the hybrid motor. Also, when coasting, especially down a hill in my neighborhood at low speed the ICE turns off so there’s not always ICE noise.
