How long do you get the connected services with new BMWs? On my 16, I got the remote lock, climate start,…. for 5 years. Is that still the case with new BMWs?

It may vary by region, but unless it’s an “unlimited” subscription, it’s 3 years here from activation, but some, like safety camera (speed camera) is annual.

BMW Connected Drive will show the individual options on a given VIN, and the expiry date of a subscription if appropriate.

However, there’s usually a BMW caveat even on unlimited; “Valid as long as the technical requirements apply for the respective vehicle.”.
