Any Update?
I received the drive train message on my app today. No message in the X5, or indication of any kind in the X5 that service is suggested. It would be helpful to know if you resolved your issue, and/or were provided an explanation of why it happened.

I checked the car data like Avi said, but there was nothing related in it. After doing the software update, the warning disappeared. When I checked with dealership they said checkup is not needed as it went away with software update. My guess is it’s a software glitch as the car drives fine. Maybe you can try to see if there is anything in car data or software is latest.

I received my build back in November. I had these messages and more after only 50 miles. They reinstalled the OS and wiped everything, so basically deleting the messages was their solution. Then when there was an update to the software the app popped up a notification on my phone, when I tapped the notification it immediately fried my connection of MyBMW to my car, deleted all my digital keys (luckily I didn't trust this and had an extra physical key with me), and reset all my settings and stored parking paths. My dealer said they don't handle software stuff, call corporate. Corporate said that's odd, we'll get back to you in 5 business days, which they never did. Eventually, like 30 days later after I emailed and called demanding my follow-up, they said that their system says I fixed it so they have no follow-up for me. I spent 2 hrs resetting everything to factory and reprogramming and reassociating my account and phones and their servers detected that so they decided I didn't need an explanation of why my software is telling me all my critical hardware is fried and could potentially delete my digital keys at any moment. I'm pretty pissed about it and it still will randomly tell me that the acoustic pedestrian detection system is broken, which blocks the advanced driving features. Although this notification spontaneously goes away and I can use that system again. No interest from my dealer or corporate to fix the issues
