2026 iX3 (NA5) Specs, Models, Colors, Dimensions - Info Update

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Latest iX3 (NA5) info compiled (from the Future BMW model information thread)

  • In production 7/25-10/33 in Debrecen with the European 50 xDrive.
  • Production of the same model for North American and Asian markets will start in 03/26.
  • Production at SLP starts in the second half of 2026.
  • Confirmed colors (will possibly have others): Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver, Polarized Grey, Brooklyn Grey, Ocean Wave Blue, Smokey Green, Fire/Vegas Red.
  • Model range: 40, 40 xDrive, 50 xDrive, M60 xDrive
  • 07/26: two new models added, including M60
  • Will be the first model to use several new features. The most interesting ones are the Panoramic Stage interface recently previewed in the NK concept (it will be standard) and the Augmented View. The options we're already familiar with will include Iconic Glow exterior, the first use of multifunction seats with massage function on a 3-series level model, and various M features (M packages, M trims, M seats, M steering wheel). At least at this time, there is no autonomous driving beyond Level 2.
  • The M60 packaging will differ from the regular model with M suspension and brakes, 21" wheels instead of 20" on the lower models, and several optional features like upgraded seats and audio offered as standard.
  • May include ZA5 iX3M.
  • Size specs for iX3 50 xDrive (in mm):
  • Length: 4780
  • Width: 1895
  • Height: 1635
  • Wheelbase: 2895
  • Luggage: 520l/1750l

LOL! Where is the data regarding the following:

Battery Size
Charge Rate
Hp
Torque
Single Motor? Dual Motors? (..I'd say it's a given the M60 version would have Dual Motors,...So, I suspect it'll have similar power as the i5 M60.

Its in the box of secrets currently. This is leaked info.

The car will have 2WD 1 motor and 4WD 2 or more motors. Thats how EVs work.

The batteries will be 70-120KWh at most probably i would say not more than 100kwh considering this is the 3 Series. But its possible that they put a 100+ battery for some reason..

If they get the car down towards 15-16KWh/100km/60miles in the WLTP test the car will do 600km in one charge or 360miles. In reality that means you can trust it to do 400-450km or 240-270miles any day of the week in all conditions with a 100KWh battery. If you drive like a grandpa and spend your personal energy and time driving efficiently or slow you can do WLTP numbers.

It seems as though BMW is going on record as saying that they won’t be putting bigger batteries in but are looking to increase efficiency over time. 240-270miles is kinda where we are with the current tech, so I’d be surprised if that’s all we could expect, but let’s see. At some point pushing a brick through air at 70mph makes things a bit challenging.

You're getting future model info before BMW even has a press release on it and all some can do is complain? Maybe show some appreciation and be patient until more info is leaked, or would you rather bite the hand that feeds you and get nothing?

SOP in just 5 months from now!
Good time for BMW to bring back ED (and let vehicles from Hungary qualify).

I’m itching for another trip to BMW Welt.

If BMW didn’t do it for the M5, not sure it would do it for the iX3.

You missed the part where the US model SOP is actually a year from now.

It’s the internet…people find ways to bitch about anything and everything.

If production for NA5/iX3 is due to start in July 25, when does anyone think first deliveries to customers will start?

I'm based in the UK and am looking at moving from my G01 at the end of '25/maybe very early '26. Just wondering if NA5 deliveries would fit in this timeframe?

I saw it - just wishful thinking on my part that ED would come back (yeah, you could only order US spec from the ED program, I know).
5 months will be here soon for all our European friends to get some real world experience in these.

End of 25/ early 26 could work with a launch edition. Ramp-up shall be steep.

Is there even demand for this EV?
BMW can’t sell the ones they currently have without massive rebates.

It seems the EV sector is flooded with options which outstrips demand.
