Android Auto map showing in HUD now shows arrow only
We purchased an X3 M50 in late December with the HUD. For the first 2 weeks or so, I was able to see the navigation map from Android Auto in the HUD. I am running version 11/2024.30 in iDrive 9, and regularly install security/OS updates on my Samsung S22 Ultra.
In the last 2-3 weeks, the Android Auto navigation map in the HUD is no longer visible. Instead, a single directional arrow with distances to the next turn/exit/etc. is displayed. Looking through menus in iDrive 9 and Android Auto on my phone I did not see any options indicating that the map display had been turned on/off. I believe that the BMW navigation map is visible in the HUD, but I would prefer to use Android Auto, if possible. Can anyone confirm if this change in the AA map visibility in the HUD is part of the iDrive 9 software, based in my phone, or something else? Thanks for your help! |

Have you tried to change the view mode of the HUD?
You may also trie a restart of the headunit by pressing and holding the center console volume button until the headunit restarts (while engine is running)

Thanks for the quick reply! Yep. Tried all of the different view modes in the HUD, as well as restarting the headunit by pressing and holding the center console volume button while the engine is running. I tried both of these during the "encore" delivery with one of their store reps. Unfortunately, neither worked.
