Production Date?
I have asked this before with no answer. What document or where on the car do you look for the production date? I picked up my car june 18th in munich so im right on that cusp i beleive. Also, I hate asking this question, maybe im the only idiot that doesnt know this, but also how do you know if its e81, e87, e88 or whatever. im assuming based on the versions. pre-march e81? post-march e87? 29.1? vs 29.2? can anyone just break it down like "bmw for dummies" or sometin???????? thanks!

If you're referring to your 135i then its e82. The 29.1 vs 29.2 I think you would have to confirm with the dealer if i'm not mistaken.

production date is stamped on the vin tag of the door jam. the 29.1/29.2 are not production dates, they are program versions. vehicles leaving assembly plant today are 30.2 program version. e82 is the 1 series coupe, e88 is the convertible, e87 is the 3 door hatch, i think the e81 is the five door hatch, i could be wrong.
