Those thick vertical steering wheel spokes appear to block the pano dash. Guessing they don’t and it’s to block the blank space where gauges should be

Seems odd in that video that haven’t taken the opportunity to show off the ambient lighting in the tunnels. It’s all actually turned off which is weird surely they would turn it up to max and get some funky colours on it…..

The views are great, but I no longer aspire to own BMWs.
Hope they get their act together soon and fix the interiors

I think they are going down the wrong path with the interior.

J-RO wroteI think this is what we’re stuck with at least for a couple of generations. The “classic” interiors from BMW are pretty much done and probably won’t be returning any time soon.I think they are going down the wrong path with the interior.
Personally, I don’t think it’s completely doom/gloom. The interior of the X1 probably does the new touch screen better than all the other models so if they’re able to tweak or build off that, I think it could work.

One minute I am refusing the new trend of the wide screen console and trying to find some way to like them thinking at one point will have to move on from idrive 7 and they go and take away the screens and copy the Yaris + wide hud lol. I think I’m gonna buy a moped with a fake turbo!! Hahaha

What kind of irks me is that they pat themselves for being so environmentally conscious and yet many of their materials are still offgassing and/or shedding microplastics so for the actual person that buys one, it's really no better than most other mfg offerings. Maybe 10-20% at best. I'd like to see quantitative emission data.
At least make all your glass dual pane to keep UV's from breaking this stuff down even quicker.
Volvo/Polestar/MB EQS/Honda/Acura all do a better job. Tesla has dual pane all around.
You could mitigate much of it by adding a high quality air purifier (HEPA w/carbon) but I would have hoped for more at these price points.

Interesting to see the battery range with the heating to a comfortabel temperature in extreme cold conditions. If i recalculate that gives a range of around 700km real world range. Impressive

(that said, that snow covered valley is gorgeous and I do love the ad concept, if not the vehicle interior concept.)

If I was able to choose the m sport seats in white, I probably would have gone for those.

hokieman1 wroteI skimmed through the video. They intentionally didn't drive behind a lead vehicle for essentially the entirety of what was shown on wet/snow covered roads which is why they were able to avoid this.Agree. I never noticed road spray causing wipers to activate.
