Are those scratches on the pearl? And it doesn't look like its round. But I have no idea what a pearl is supposed to look like, besides white and round. And I thought restaurants served oysters on half shells? I think someone was messing with that oyster.

I think you have a better chance of breaking your tooth and suing them.

25K for the pearl this couple found. Sounds like it probably came from the clams and not the oysters.

here's another pic, the pearl is white with a purple haze around the equatorial line...it's the size of a pea...haha it'll be funny if i got like a grand out of this...

now that i read the story above, i think it definitely came from a clam cuz the oyster was a flat piece of meat, where as the clam had a bulging stomach full of dirt and sand and that gem

You should definitely get it looked at. It looks bigger than the one in that article so perhaps it's worth more? Happy freaking new year to you eh?!?!

this pearl was inside the clam's body...like in its stomach, or else i woulda seen it. So just for shits and giggles i'll take it to a jewelry store and see what i can get for it...i can't imagine it'd be anything else but a pearl

get it appraised at several places. someone may screw you over and say its a regular pearl then they turn around and sell it for 50k.

Where the hell are you eating??? lol I highly doubt a restaurant would be having customers find pearls of high quality.
