Grades, minors and such
Hey guys, I screwed around in my first 2 years of college and ended up with a pretty low gpa. I'm a third year now and I'm trying to boost my gpa. My question is, should I pick up a pretty impressive minor like mathematics but keep my shitty grades, or should I pick up a relatively easy minor (pyschology) and graduate w/ a higher gpa? Which would benefit me more in terms of getting a job in the future? Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks guys! |

Now-a-days, GPA is more meaningful for one reason: the computer. Almost all jobs require you to apply online and as a result if you don't meet the min reqs, the computer automatically throws out your resume from the pool. I would say re-take some classes to really boost your GPA. Hate to break it to you man but you really shouldn't have screwed around. It's gonna cost you.

you need straight A's from here on out...also maybe retake some of your classes that you did poorly in...your school may not let that help your GPA...but at least you can prove your ability...and chalk the low grades up to immaturity and not the lack of ability...and it shows some personal pride and ambition
