I know 90% people are going to say it's a Lexus knock off but I actually like the way Hyundai is going.

Looks good. After test driving the Genesis sedan I have a new outlook on the Korean makes. Hyundai is stepping up their game.

It's pretty good, but for some reason the front seems too big compared to the rest of the car

Looks fairly generic but still good. Hyundai is really stepping it up. I think we all forget that early on in the 70's most people didn't think much of Hondas either.

EDIT: Just looked at the price. For that money I don't think it's going to sell in the US or Canada.

Is that an ls460 or a Hyundai? Will Hyundai ever design their own cars, or will they just rip off the competition forever

Thumbs down

Too much of a rip off. I give it a 0 out of 10.

Fuck that... $93k for this piece of shit when you can get an LS460 for less that is, and is much better built and will be more reliable.

Yeah right, as if any Lexus could ever look this interesting.

As far as Lexus being better built and more reliable... I don't even know about that.

Wow, I didn't even see the price. I thought it would be $40K-$50K?

Look at any consumer report article on the top reliability cars...

And you have to be blind to not see how much of a ripoff this is of the LS460...

Headlights look like a mixture of the IS and the older model LS
The front bumper reminds me of the stock LCI E90 front bumper
The rear tail lights remind me of a mixture of the new Nissan Maxima and the new LS
And the little thing sticking out of the hood... well iono what that is. lol

IMO Hyundai's only real marketing strategy was offering cheaper versions of current luxury cars of similar quality. This model goes 100% against that.

Basically this model says to me: "Hey, lets make a copy of a well respected luxury sedan and then try to sell it for more... just for shitz n gigglz

No thanks. I am sorry but if I am dropping those kind of bucks it better not say Hyundai anywhere....cut the price in half. Epic fail.

Looks better than a Lexus to me, though definitely "inspired" by the Japanese maker. In general, though, I don't think most of the Japanese manufacturers make interesting looking cars anymore –*especially Lexus.

$93k is steep for any car, no matter who makes it, so the kit would have to be exceptional. If Hyundai could introduce class-leading, first-to-industry luxury/safety gear, then they might just sell a few.

But in the end, Americans don't buy range-complete lineups, so the thought of owning a $93k Hyundai when your neighbor can buy an $11k Accent will kill it. They'd need to introduce a new brand for the USA for sure.
