I just wanted to know from people here has anyone had a real hot streak in gambling or what was the biggest bet you made. Incidently, I have had had a lot of bad things happen to me because of gambling but here it is my list

Best winning day: turned $40 into $4,196 dollars at Hustler Casino (multi-deck blackjack)

Worst bet lost: $13,419 on an internet website. The Lakers lost by half a point for me. The game was Timberwolves vs. Lakers in the 2004 Western Conference Finals Game 5.

I won $300 on some slot machine. I hate gambling anyway, it's boring and the casinos are full of people who look like they're about to die of sadness, lung cancer, or both. I get the exact same feeling on a casino floor as I do when I'm visiting someone in a hospital.

You make a good point if you have anything less than about $100 you're going to lose almost 90 percent of the time. If you live in Los Angeles, there is basically no point of going to a casino because of the one dollar comission which really adds up. My advice, don't go to Hollywood Casino in Ingelwood by LAX. It is the most ghetto and disgusting place you can go to lose your money. It is sad and you will almost definitely hate yourself for going there.

I've been here in Vegas since '96 and I don't know of any gamblers who are up on the house.

It's not that people can't beat the house, it happens all the time. It's just that once you have the taste of winning you want to keep doing it over and over again, and thats when the house owns your ass

Well this is not really all mine but I'll share anyway. In Puerto Rico my uncle and I were playing Russian Roulette and for some reason he just really liked number 23. So he bet on it a few times and lost. Then he bet on it again, this time the maximum bet allowed. He also told me to put the max allowed in the four corners. So we basically maxed out everything. Next thing we knew it landed on 23 and he won like a few grand.

I do see people who are up from casino, but not alot.

One without discipline will most likely lose.

Was on a cruise and the wife (now ex) wanted cigs. I took a paper dollar into the casino and fed it into the change machine. Stupid me, I didn't realize in a casino it would return a coin dollar. I took it and dropped it into the nearest slot and pulled the handle. Son of a bitch came up three bars across. Because I'd only dropped in a buck, it returned $10. If I had dropped in $3, it would have returned $10k.

I took the 10 dollar coins and fed them all back to other machines. No returns. That was my one big win.

The ex and I did win $50k in the MA lottery once, though. That was sweet.
