First Merc E-class review: 4/5
Verdict 4/5
Those that choose to get driven around in an E-class will enjoy the experience. It’s big in the back (and up front), rides smoothly and has regained the traditional rock-like solidity that the old car so sorely lacked. But if you slip behind the wheel you’ll discover an E-class that’s as good to drive as BMW's 5-series, and that should have the Bavarians very worried indeed. It’s the perfect blend of the sportiness of the C-class and the luxury of the S-class. http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/...ontent-block=0

I'm sure the dynamics have improved. My 2009 is a bit numb at the wheel (although it's super comfortable and that's why I bought it.)
But the new one is still stupid ugly. Read the comments after the article. The thing lacks the gracious curves of the W211. Especially the interior where now everything has sharp angles. I know this sounds like a broken record, but it's definitely more "Japanese/Korean" looking. No way denying that. I'd take all the new improvements if I could dress it in the current W211 skin. |

Sounds promising. Let's see if the F10 delivers the goods to match or exceed the new competition.

Family has the E300 AvantGarde. full equip which is great. Plus the Ride is smooth. Tho I don't really like the brake paddle tho..... It's a big too high for me haha. It drives very smooth, big and spacious overall. A solid car for sure. I don't like the overall look of the car tho..... interior is fine and all but the extrior..... VERY much to be desired.....
I love my 128i more tho haha! For that kind of money tho, I'd rather get a Audi S5 /w pearl effect paint and carbon trims. |

The only real downside I saw to the E60 was the looks.
The F10 seems that is going to make up for it. If it looks as good as some of the leaked stuff has implied it will, it will be the benchmark of the class. With a twin turbo V8, I see looks, handling, and muscle on BMW's side. This E is interesting, I like it, but the rear just doesn't convey what a car of this caliber should. |

I can believe that. Owning both the new C300 and the 335i I can tell everyone with absolute certainty that the C300 drove much better as a daily driver and was more inspiring at higher speeds than my 335. I just wish it had the power though

Oh hell no. I, too, drove the C300 (albeit for a week) and I can tell everyone with absolute certainty that it's a putrid piece of shit.
