Don't know if this is a repost or not. But check out the video on the NY Post site. Ferrari crashed while filming a movie in NYC.

Why were they filming a movie with a high speed car chase like that with pedestrians around. I sure hope the other cars on the road were part of it. Hopefully the people are ok, at least they have the comfort that they will never have to work again.

The real wreck here is that Nicholas Cage is starring in another movie.

I used to have a client in Burbank and the studios used to film stuff all the time on the streets of Burbank with people everywhere and just the cops trying to keep the impact area clear. I inadvertently walked right into the middle of one scene once, needless to say they were not happy and made me sign a waiver right on the spot. So I wouldn't doubt they could have filmed that but with some precautions to avoid the unexpected.

In the upper region of epic fails. It also takes the cop 5 minutes to even notice the guy laying under the pole. He seemed to not care once he did anyway.

I'm sure they all were background. And they all signed waivers. And they all get paid measly SAG rates. And the guy signed that he couldn't sue on set. And, as required, the production company is totally insured. And all the producers have immunity. And so nobody gets nothing except the distributor that bought the rights and rakes it in at the box office because everybody wants to see "that movie where a real Ferrari really crashed on set."
