Audi RS3 on its way!!!

The Audi RS3’s engine, shared with the TT RS, produces 335bhp and 332lb ft of torque. It promises to provide the RS3 with the sort of performance to challenge the rapid BMW 135i Coupé, as well as the current hot hatch king, the Focus RS.

On its way where? Certainly not the US.

Audi develops many impressive cars, they just can't make it work for the US market.

Dissapointing.

If it ever came to the U.S., I'd buy it. Def. some room for modding there.

If it makes it here it will no doubt be ridiculously overpriced.

Exactly, I Love Audi's design, but their cars are just ridiculously overpriced. They suck at resale value also.

I just could not justify paying the amount a fully loaded 135i cost to start with a tt-rs base model that is slower, laggier, less roomy, and less reliable....

That's only an european trend or maybe only national trend in UK. In the state BMWs are still the cocks but I think a lot of them have moved over to Landrover. Every Landrover driver I see on the road drives like an cock.

I'd like to know how many they plan on building. I could be wrong, but I have a strong suspicion the RS3 is just a marketing symbol with Audi expecting to sell only a couple thousand - or even less than that. I wish they could find a way to offer a well equiped A3 with 300hp in the US for less than $40k, but my guess on the US price would be $47k min and up.

I would do ED on an E90 M3 for that much money.

Blacked out with gunmetal rims I think it would look great.. wonder what the weight is?? If it was under 40k and I liked the drive I would trade the 135i in a heart beat. But most likely this Audi will be 50k after dealer markup

Well the hatch is the whole point of the A3/S3. Get a S4/5 if you want an Audi with a different body style.

+1 a non-hatch A/S3 would make it awkward like a 1er imo

True. BMW made the the 1 series coupe, but Audi have the TT as a rival to it so they dont need to make a A3 coupe.

Personally I love the 3 door A3 and I hate the sportback.

I'd still take the Focus RS over this.
