Silly topic: do you name your car?

Maybe I'll come across as a dork on this one, but wanted to hear if anyone else names their car?

Stella - 1974 2002
Heidi - 1992 E36 325 (what else for Alpine White!)
Schatze - 1995 E36 ///M3 (every German Shepard I've ever known has been named Schatze)
Gretchen - 1998 E39 528i
Stanzi - 2006 E90 330 SP+PP (after Mozart's wife :-)

Well, with my iDrive, I've got both male and female voices in my car... I've already named my navigation voice "Nancy" (FYI, the GPS in my previous car was named "Betty")...

I still haven't picked out a name for my the male voice yet... I need a real dumb sounding name though... 'cause about 1/2 the time I give it a voice command, it replies with something TOTALLY different... (for example, I'd command "satellite radio on" and he will switch to the phone screen and say "would you like to call.... John Doe?" -- otherwise, he'll switch to the climate control vents)...

Actaually, the voice commands tend to work pretty accuratly when I'm in my car alone... but when I try to show off the features to friends in the car, that's when it screws up... I think that the car is just trying to make a fool out of me in front of my friends... it's nice to see that he has a sense of humor....

My OLDold e46 was called black hottness - from men in black...just because everyone said I look so hot in it, and it was black...and black is hot (as in heat)

My old e46 didn't get a name, the nav voice however was called Julie - she was sweet to me...always told me where to go.

My E90 is called Electric Mistress :-) It's a name me and my girlfriend gave it, the day before I picked it up. The voice command girl doesn't have a name yet...but maybe electric mistress can be the name for the whole package!

Loving my E90...

I thought I was the only crazy one who named their nav voices. Well my nav lady is Carla because I personally think she sounds a little retarded, like Carla from the movie The Other Sister. She speaks way to fast and funny sometimes. I do not have a name for the male voice yet. I was thinking something like James or Herbert.

James is a more swave(SP?) name...like James Bond...sophisticated and posh...not knowledgable and bossy. "Turn right" "turn left" "If possible, make a U-turn" sheesh...bossy navigation...I'm driving...leave me alone!

i named my I-Drive DAD because it always yells at me to put my seatbelt on.... mom seemed better but i never heard the female voice and i always here that dudes voice when i accidently hit the voice activation button... so dad it is, as for the car... well naming it dad would be funny

I named my car Audrey, after Audrey Hepburn. The name fits well, as I like to think of my e90 as classy, elegant, yet gorgeous...and something people will drool over for years to come
