So I considerd picking up a C6 vette....
I test drove a few and I came away dissapointed. The steering feel and materials used are terrible I couldn't tell if I was driving my wife's old 96' camaro at times. The seats, steering wheel and gauges are just blah to me. I kept hearing great things about this car but honestly my BMW 335i feels faster than this thing. It was a stock 07' 400hp vette that I could have bought for a cheap price($27,000). It was an automatic as well. That didn't help things at all either. Maybe I will buy a used Porshe instead. That sounds like a hell of a lot better idea.

This has nothing to do with what your talking about but I'm thinking of picking up a new Camaro. I'm going to go test drive one soon. They're pretty cheap too. 400hp for 30k... Brembo brakes. Wonder how it drives...

I had a choice: Camaro or 335i.... the Camaro was very quick off the line but it felt cheap...very cheap. and didn't turn.... I love the Vette though...yeah a bit cheap feeling but 400hp 4.5 0-60 good handling new for 45k.... can't really beat that.... let me know what you thought of the Camaro I'm really happy i picked a 335i (even though it did cost 20k more much more worth it... and way better resale value. 07s are selling for 40 and 08s are from 45-55k... a 07 vette has already 20k....) But the Camaro is better than the stang and challenger IMHO driven them all. |

I don't know why BMW 335i owners can't give other car's credit without bashing them unfairly.
The Camaro can't turn but it beats the E46 M3 and 335i on the Nurburgring? you tested a used C6 AUTOMATIC for 5 minutes and based your review on how fast it was on that? Here's an LS2 getting into the 11's with a good launch: But your 335i is faster right? What can I expect from E90post though, most posters here aren't car enthusiast but badge whores.

Dude. That's the ultimate sin - an automatic VETTE?!
Yeah. Those things are fast, but have crappy interiors. Not much care is made when it comes to luxury. Chevy cares about is making trucks and cars that go fast in a straight line and that's it. Though, I have heard that the C6 handles quite well with leaf springs in the rear, surprisingly. |

You can get 07 E92 335i's right now for 26k-28k, and the E90's are going for sub 25k.

There's a difference between a fanboy comparison and a legit comparison. All I see on here are fanboy comparisons.

No need for name calling. This is a mature forum we don't need comments like that. I'm not in the mood to fight with you, so whatever bud.

in a Vette you have to pay MORE for a manual. in an E90 you have to pay more for an AUTOPILOT! and how many manuals are out there? like 5% of the E90's

The new Camaro out tracks the 335i as well for $17,000 less. Care to change your tune about American cars being able to track now?

This guy is taking an automatic Vette with a torque converter and trying to make a statement about the car's performance characteristic. As someone who has SEEN an LS2 get into the low-12's consistently, I don't know wtf this guy is talking about. Of course these cars were Manuals as ALL Vettes should be.

That's the kind of thing that makes fanboys rethink their opinions.

dude, when i was looking at 335's a couple months back they were ALL at least 33K. most were 35-40K. a 2006 330i will run you around 25-27K right now. i would've bought the 335 for that price

newsong you haven't proved shit, I'd bet money I'd slay some mullet-busting comaros around a track. I'd also be surprised if a Z51 vette beat an e92 M3. the current M3 is hailed as one of the best cars in the world (the best by some - C&D) - and not just compared to everyday cars, it even plays well with most supercars
