Hyundai Equus not lookin too bad

I've read it's going to be less than $60,000. But heard from a few that it's coming in with base at $48k and fully loaded around $55k.

I'm thinking even though it's a Hyundai, they'll be able to move some at those prices. It looks pretty nice.

The Genesis has found a few loving homes.

Not bad for a Hyundai, they have really come a long way. I remember riding in my friend's Hyundai Scoupe on the highway and literally the engine burst into flames!!

Still $55k for a Hyundai I don't know if North America is ready for it quite yet. The Genesis just came out last year.

Not bad...looks like a Lexus at the back and an Accord/Lincoln up front. Interior looks like a mixture of Mercedes and Lexus. One thing though..really need to loose the Hood Emblem..looks a little tacky.

Not bad. Mini Maybach for $55,000.

BTW: That stupid emblem is ridiculous.

Hyundai's saying of the last few years has always been "When I grow up, I want to be a Mercedes, Lexus or a BMW".

The Mercedes/Maybach cues in this car are never more prevalent

Like ANY other Hyundai. I'll pass. Too chicken to come up with their own designs and innovations, its much easier for them to copy others.
Case in point (Among COUNTLESS examples) The Genesis, the wanna-be G37

I hate Hyundai/Kia. I really do.

The funny thing is I remember when Lexus was saying that same thing, replete with Toyota imprinted on their parts. (Like the glass, for example.)

Hate or love Hyundai, you have to respect the clarity and focus of vision they've brought to the table. While I'm not personally ready to spend my hard earned duckets on buying one, they sure are making it harder and harder to not at least seriously consider them.

Drive a new Genesis and you'll see what I mean.

Remember: Honda and Toyota were in the same boat at one point in their lives. It seems Hyundai is on the same path.

You can't beat their "what you get for what you spend" approach.

They have to find a new name for their premium cars. Why don't they call them all Genesis(brand) and say per exemple Genesis 4.6, Genesis 5.0, Genesis 3.8 etc open a few of those fancy dealerships a la Lexus and call it a day.

You know, i wouldn't mind if you put Toyota in the same league as Hyundai but Honda was always different. Fast Motorcycles, F1 Championships and their manic engines, they were just the business .

Toyota did more than Honda.....WRC, Lemans, Baja, Paris-Dakar...you see toyota everywhere all over the world(third world country included)
Just because they're current line up sucks it doesn't mean that they accomplished more than Honda. Toyota is number one in the world as we speak. I didn't speak about Hino(Truck company)
