Pics from my London trip last week

What do you guys think? Taken with Rebel XSi and standard kit lens plus polarising filter. A bit PP afterwards.

the car nut in me couldn't resist but to capture the V8 Vantage from 70s and the good old london cab.

Lovely shots- the red/blue contrast between the phonebox & the sky in the 4th shot is great.

Hope you had a good time whilst you were in London.

i really liked london, have been my first time, weather was great, company was superb and i got to see the london not just as tourist but went out and did the things locals do on weekends as well, so yeah, terrific place and probably best subway i've used thus far (nyc, paris, prague, moscow, stockholm all are inferior)

Great great shots! Love 'em.

The freeze frame on moving cars is so dam difficult to nail down I swear but it looks like you made a good attempt at it. I try to use shutter priority and a high enuf iso to get the car sharp but slow enuf to strongly blur the background as you move the camera. I wish there was an easy button for those shots

Thank you.

I kinda liked the blurry effect, I wasn't aiming for perfect one, but I think Aston came quite close.

London is full of superb cars, all the astons and porkers and ferraris ... great for the ears.

thx.

make sure you do it during june-august as its nice weather, not this typical british gloomy skies stuff. Yeah, its full of tourist but I found everybody way too polite after NYC where noone ever says sorry from bumping into you, but in London it was the opposite.

Get one of those 'walk london' books because city is very compact and you can explore it by foot very easily, at least the main areas, like mayfair, nottinghill, kensington, the parks, holbourn and the tower area.

Thanks for the tip.

Your shots just make me even more envious and I cant wait till my trip (maybe next year summer/spring time or end of year if I can get some vacation out)
