Snow car? STI?
I may go to school up in Syracuse this coming year, need an out door snow car. I was thinking STI / EVO? Or should I go with an SUV?

EVO or STi would be good, you don't NEED an SUV and besides they are quite boring.

If you get an Evo, make sure you get a dedicated set of winter tires. Stock advans are horrible horrible on snow.
I would recommend Bridgestone Blizzack LM's.

The lease is up in 2 weeks, and this car will be sitting outside throughout the winter.

Get an '03 or '04 Disco. Will run over anything you happen across in the winter or any other season. And on top of that, you know midgets can't steal your car because they simply can't get it.

Yeah, what he said, Midgets can't steal your car because they simply can't get in when it's in the shop garage and it's locked.

I'd get an older STI and mod the hell out of it.

STI or consider the Legacy GT. Either way you gotta have good winter boots. For the most part Subaru's are no better than any other car in snow unless you have great rubber. I've had 4 Suby's, still have 1, and they're good cars. Now I'm on BMW.
If you go with the STI or LGT, buy a cobb accessport - worth every penny of extra HP. |
