Question e30 - yes or no?

So here's the deal. I need a vehicle not newer than a 1987, and so it's come down to either the AE86 or an E30. Seeing a few recent threads on swapped E30's here, I decided to go with the BMW. Found this listing on CL and was wondering if I should get it? What should I generally look at/for when purchasing a vehicle this old? Here's the info: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...341768637.html

i wouldn't go with a 325e or es/ there down about 65hp from the i/is. my old roomate has an es and my 325i pulls on it easily. my E30 is up for sale check out my thread.

YES... ! e30s are the best,
if you want power stay away from the eta, which is what you have, but then again, you can do the i head swap

The eta in high rpm is lazy as hell,

A chip swap helps the 3 motor a lot, but still lazy as everyone has said. It makes a good auto cross platform.
