Well, it looks to me like Magnussen wasn't just getting a taste of his own medicine, but forced to drink the entire bottle!
Wow!

IMO, Magnussen got exactly what he deserved for being a prat. He clearly couldn't beat the Porsche cleanly so he decided to play dirty and he paid. I hope he gets fined.

Yeah, I know the Flying Lizard driver, and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Fierce competitor though, and frankly Jan was being a dick...

On another forum all of the Corvette fanboys are screaming and crying, LOL.
Honestly, I think it's IMSA's fault for encouraging this kind of NASCAR "crashing is racing" action for the sake of excitement. That works great until someone gets killed or gets tired of pouring tens of thousands of dollars worth of repairs into their cars every race. IMSA should have put their foot down when Jamie Melo tried to run Bergmeister off of the track at Sebring in 2007. Just like yesterday's race, it came down to the last corner. But in that instance it was Melo's Ferrari that pushed off of Bergmeister's Porsche. Bergmeister got screwed out of a win and IMSA did nothing about it. Fast forward to yesterday and history was about to repeat itself. The Vette rammed Bergmeister's Porsche as it entered the final corner, and Bergmeister was clearly having flashbacks to Sebring. He wasn't going to let himself be pushed around again, especially since it's obvious that IMSA has no interest in keeping the racing clean. So Bergmeister did what he had to win. IMSA needs to grow some balls is what it boils down to.

I have no doubt that the Vette crowd is pissed, and there's no discounting that their cars are seriously fast. However, they ought to be looking at thier driver's conduct on the track a little bit harder as if the illegal pass isn't enough of an indicator and stop whining about it. Race clean or suffer the wrath of the racing gods...

Im not sure there is a way to 'pass cleanly' on that track with those speeds. Bumping someone is one thing - driving them into the wall is somewhat more dangerous.

I think people are too hard on Jan; he was racing, not trying to kill somebody. It seemed like Jorg was pushing against Jan and then braked; w/ the Corvette's wheels turned to the right it suddenly caught traction and spearheaded towards the wall.

Not trying to sound like a Lizard Fanboy either. I just don't like to see people race dirty, and up until the last three laps, they were racing hard and clean. |

You are right, its a tight track, but here are lots of places to pass cleanly, IF the car in front isn't defending, or a mistake is made. Look at all the P1 cars during the race and you will see the clean ones.
