Would you ever go on a tour of North Korea?
Yeah, I'd probably gut it out.
...or be gutted out in the process. Who knows. But I'd do it just to tell the story (if I made it back). Would you? And yes, guided tours of North Korea apparently do exist. http://wikitravel.org/en/North_Korea |

The closest I ever got was witin a km or two from the border. It's really assuring having land mines spanning the beach as you are driving by in a bus.

Given that I don't speak Korean, and I think I could get in trouble for speaking Japanese there...I don't think I would any time in the near future...
However, I have an interest in visiting Seoul...

Not now but maybe if it wasn't unified. My mom escaped from there after it became communist. They would kill her if she went and I have no reason to go there. My cousins dad was against the gov(nk) and when he died he was honored by the sk gov. They are all whacked even the ones that escaped. My cuz is a dentist, lol. His mom wanted him to be a doctor. He isn't dumb he just sucks. His bro is a scientist. One of my customers went their like 3 or maybe 4 years ago on business. He was a jeweler but didn't know wht kind of bs he was doing. I always though you couldn't go there at all but he said he had a permit. He's fucked now also because his jewelery store is no more. Sad but I guess a fine jwry store in the bronx doesn't work even in rvdle.

My wife might get us a trip to sk from her work. If the opportunity were to arise, I'd cross over the border. In a sick, demented kind of way it's like those stickers on a mobile home
