Cool video! I've always thought of us in the same way that the smallest cell on our body or an atom in space. It's a trip that we have evolved so much and have so much. Yet we're tiny, tiny spec in the universe.

We'll never know that's why they're called theories; opinions pertaining to facts.

Precisely why I believe we're not the only intelligent life in existence. What if we were just an experiment of evolution and colonization?

hmm there's scientists who put together a formula of the chances that theres another planet out there with intelligent life on it. i learned about it in physics class.

it was a small number i think around ten planets or something

According to the equation that the scientists formulated there should be about 10 planets that should have intelligent life. There are however many more planets that can be habitable.

I can't wait till we conquer all of it. we just need to set aside our stupid 'borders' and such and realize we're pretty much all the same.

ima just wait a few billion years *starts working on artificial heart and computer brain*

pfft light speed. i don't wanna wait 13.7 billion years to get to the edge of space. i'm sure there's a faster way. even though nothing seems possible right now, then again, people in the 1800's probably wouldn't have thought we could talk to our friends and family and coworkers from the middle of nowhere through the air. [cellphones] and that was only 200 years ago.

i hope we're like forerunners, just not the dying part :P

We should also note that the Drake equation focuses only on our own galaxy...it doesn't even include the hundreds of billions of other galaxies out there.

So one could say there could possibly be billions of other planets that could harbor intelligent life.

Crazy.

Cool video.... Kind of an updated conceptual remake of the original "Powers of Ten" by Charles and Ray Eames. I remember watching this in design school.. figured I'd find it on youtube.
