Unknown old BMW prototype!
So, I was going through some old files on my computer, remembered downloading this one about 10 years ago.
I was wondering if anybody had any further information on this car. The car in the background is an E34 M5 cabriolet BTW. Cheers Matski |

Z1 is an obvious choice. However, certain things don't add up. Firstly, it looks as much like a Z1 as a Z3 does! Some technical details aren't right either, the size and position of the kidneys and lights is wrong. The door shut lines are wrong, the wheel arches are wrong, as are some of the air vents, the roll bar,.. etc etc.
It has a short number plate like it just says Z, or M or something on it, as if it were to be shown, so I also doubt it's wearing camo. The heading IIRC on the website I found it on was "original M roadster". I like researching these obscure things. |

Lol originally it was a Packard Bell! DX2/66!, With each generation I've just backed up the old drive to the newer computer and left it in a folder... now 7 generations later.. somewhere on here.. I have DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11

interesting...i agree that this is NOT a Z1. And seeing as its sitting next to the never released and only recently unveiled e34 M5 cabrio, I would venture to say it is sitting somewhere in BMW's secret vaults
my guess goes with the "Original M Roadster" theory ...Let's split up gang!

Oh and the car is a z1 M - Here a better pic From what I gather, it used the e34 M5 engine. And was never made, this is probably the only one in existance |
