It does say BMW on the chrome part and looks like it has a Carbon fiber weave as well.

They sent it for my 2 year anniversary with the car, for the first they sent me a drawing.

didn't get crap, not even for 1st year ownership, that pen looks nice though..a bit too fat for me, i like "cross" pens super skinny and heavier than most

yeah the pen is indeed fancy and writes pretty nice as well. overall i'm very satisfied with this free gift thank you BMW of NA!

btw what do you guys think of the carbon fiber weave? real or no? looks like good quality IMO.

I spent over 160K with BMW in 09, was a little disapointed that they scraped their loyalty program as well. No gifts here either.

But to be honest, I dont expect anything in return except a reliable vehicle and exceptional customer service at the dealer which they have lived up to.

The small thank you is a nice gesture of appreciation though.

Does the CF help you write those cheques faster? There is a hidden meessge behind this I'm sure. lol

What's funny is that when I purchased a brand new x5 and was 10k more than my 335 I got nothing from BMW haha. I also got sent a 3-5 DVD disc collection about the history of BMW.

I'm sure the carbon fiber makes writing checks to BMW a little easier on the hand, haha.

I got a box like that in 2007, I don't even remember what the gift was, that's how unmemorable it was!!

But I do like the $100 gift card I got for test driving the 750Li. The car was boring, but what I'll do for $100 amazes me....heck, I drove the Touareg for movie tix.

I got nothing else except a bill asking for the 2nd year annual fee for the build-in communication service@@ Great experience! But what can I expect? It's Canada! BTW dealerships are asking $99800 + fees + tax for those full load Edition M3s. LOL!
