if you havent checked it out.

i am not trying to advertise or anything because you all know i am a BMW fan more than life. But... if you havent checked out the new Audi S6, you need to take a look. i have never seen such an understated car. its amazing. every detail is beyond par. i am almost thinking that the 65 less HP than an
M5 would still make me want an S6 over the M5. its a beast.
after 100 miles of driving... the coolest thing on the car? the DRL's....

found a picture. http://ledsmagazine.com/articles/news/3/1/8/1/AudiS6

I don't like the wheels, but those LEDs are hot. On black car, that would look fierce. I'd love to see modders change those LEDs to an ice blue or something for white cars.

"For any remaining skeptics, the technical details clearly authenticate the powerplant. Audi motorsports-derived FSI technology injecting precisely metered fuel at high pressure directly into the combustion chambers provides highly efficient combustion and boosts performance."

Sounds familiar.

A bad driving experience with the new Audi A6 three years back has spoiled the Audi brand for me. Also these LED lights which are on the rear are plain silly. See them on the Autobahn daily and cannot get used to them. Those on the front don´t look much better, though I have never seen them around here. Beats me what the purpose of those things should be.
Since this is getting off topic, did I mention that my E92 is almost halfway through the break-in period?

The power is definately there, but the interior is by far the most impressive interior I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in in my life. If you dont test drive this thing, at least go into the dealership and sit in it. The seats are perfect.

I may be in a minority here, but those DRLs are not so pretty in pics. I'll reserve final judgment until I see them in person, but they seem a bit extraneous and gimmicky in the photos.

Pity Audi's are so overpriced here in Canada vs US pricing. I was looking at an S8 the other day and it threw me off that in Canadian dollars, a US S8 starts at around $101k while an S8 starts here at 130k. I understand that there are probably different standard equipment levels, but that's still quite a leap. I was looking at a Volvo S60R before as well, but it too worked out to something like CDN$12k more here.

I realize that pricing is established at the beginning of a model's lifespan, but lets be reasonable...even Porsche lowered the base price of the Cayenne S here by CDN$8k in the past year.

Surprisingly, the 2007 Mercedes ML63 AMG fully fully loaded works out to CDN$500 less here than in the US at a 1.1 exchange rate.

Audi's are nice cars I give them that. But for me the price/performance isnt there. They do handle well and have good performance but I would rather the m5 over the a6. For the prices audis are one could buy an M. Hell one could practically buy a Porsche 911 turbo.

The A6/S6 exterior is one of the most boring style's around IMO. However, I think the A8 is far better. If I would buy a new Audi...it would be the RS4.

Jeremy Clarkson recently reviewed the S6. this just about sums up his thoughts:

But what you are being offered for £56,600 is actually well beyond a “disappointment”: it is actually utterly, utterly useless.

I've seen the new S6 driving around my neighborhood and I must admit the new LED DRL's look VERY impressive. But I am not a fan of the interior of the A6. In general, I have always been impressed with Audi interiors, but the A6 interior re minds me of the previous generation Acura TL.

Now the A8/S8 is a different story. I think that is an amazing looking car (inside and out).

Wow, Clarkson is not exactly known for his use of tact but he a little more ruthless then normal on this. Funny stuff.
