extended warranty question

I got a call today from BMW to extend my warranty on my 08 335, 50k. I was offer two plans, service plan ($2695) and maintenance plan ($4210) for another 2 yr/100k. The pricing is ridiculous. Question I have...do anybody have a BMW service maintenance guide....something like the chart below so I can do some real calculation.

50k - oil change
65K- oil change, transmission change
75k- etc
95k- etc

What's the difference between service and maintenance? I thought the extended coverage plans were only warranty and service. $2,800 seems too high for service, assuming it covers the regular stuff.

So the maintenance plan is an extended warranty?
Service plans for the 3 series as far as I have seen are usually quoted < $2,500 and with a little search you should be able to do < $2,000. Even at that price it's a waste of money for most people because maintenance happens in routine intervals and unless you drive more than 20K mi/year and your dealer happens to be one of those super expensive places, you're not going to get your money's worth out of it.
The warranty is another story and depends on how much of a risk taker you are. Just read the terms carefully as the extended warranty doesn't cover all the parts that are covered under the normal warranty and do a research to see if any major issues are known to come up between 50K and 100K miles. HTH.
