How to cite in a powerpoint?

I have to use citation in my powerpoint in the form of end notes. Usually in a paper you write a bunch of stuff and then put the 1 at the end of the section that you used the source for, but in a powerpoint I am kind of unsure what to do.

If everything on a slide is from one source, do I put 1 after the first section of bullets or after the first sentence preceding the bullets? Then do I put 2 after the next section, and 3 after the next section even if they're the same source?

Or do I just put 1 after the last bullet and that means that everything on the slide is for the source? Lol help?

Here is an example I am referring to. Again, everything is reworded but all from once source.

Conflicts usually arise from two different tendencies, approach and avoidance.
  • Approach: the tendency to move forward in order to achieve a favorable outcome.
  • Avoidance: the tendency to stay away from a particular situation in order to prevent an unfavorable outcome.

There are three types of conflicts that are caused by these two tendencies:
  • Approach-Approach Conflict – this arises from two inconsistent goals
  • Approach-Avoidance Conflict – this is a disagreement between doing and not doing something.
  • Avoidance-Avoidance Conflict – this includes two outcomes, both of which are undesirable.

According to Duffy Robbins, possible causes of conflict could be due to:
  • a lack of communication
  • a lack of understanding
  • conflict of interest
  • disagreement on issues
  • the need for agreement
  • generational differences
  • diversity in perspective
  • environment and a lack of relationships

There's no easy way on Powerpoint, as far as I know, like in MS Word. If all of the info on the slide is from one source, then you can just list your source in a text box at the bottom of the slide and just change the font, size etc... If you have more than 1 source, then you footnote each source as it is listed, then again refer the footnotes to the sources in the text box at the bottom of the slide.

Well I need to have all of the sources in an end slide, but I also have to put the numbers where they are needed on the slide. Taittinger, where you starred is what I did, so maybe I will just go with that.

Note that I changed your second example from a colon to a period to end the sentence. You can blame me if it is wrong.

I believe he's right on that one. I never had to number the references other than at the end. Wow is he or she pretty strict? Do you use PERRLA for your papers? Worked great for me and so easy!

I don't think he is strict. This powerpoint is the only thing we have to do for the class and it isn't due until the end of the semester, well besides tests.
