Pure luck. Especially if he is autistic. Not saying it isnt a cool achievement, but he couldnt possibly have had any grounding for the picks he made.
Although i never thought Kansas was good. And Cornell was an easy pick to go to the Sweet 16. Ohio over Gtown was crazy, but there are no real good teams this year so everyone knew anything was possible

I am sure there was more than one person that picked them all correctly. Why is it surprising that someone that is "not all there" picked correctly?
The ones doing the best in the pools around here are the ones that picked by color or had no idea. One of the better ones I've seen was picked by a parent asking their kid "1 or 8" and the kid would pick a number not knowing it was the ranking of the team.

And there is no concrete evidence that newton or einstein were autistic, it is just a claim that some psycologist make. Pretty lame IMO. Aren't autistic people usually really great at one thing and then pretty slow when it comes to everything else? I am pretty sure it is just not social akwardness that makes someone autistic.

First, that porn thing was a joke cause you said surfing the internet like an adult... second, adults don't surf the internet to play "kid games". Make up your mind.
Douchebags like me making fun of them? When did I ever make fun of them? I think you have a reading comprehension issue. I don't know why people like you are so racist sometimes. (p.s. that was another joke, calling you out on something you never did/said... OH the hippocracy!)

Autism rates are up because the same kids that would have been diagnosed as mentally retarded 15-20 years ago are now "autistic." Doesn't "autistic" sound so much better than "retarded." And even better, we can blame autism on evil corporations too, even though vaccines have been completely exonerated.
And I'll say retarded as much as I want, so there. ruh-TArD!

I also took offense to those comments. That's very rude to make fun of someone because of their mental impairments that they can not help. My best friend's little brother is autistic, he's the nicest kid you'll ever meet. Very smart kid, just not great at social interaction.

My younger brother is autistic, although not severely so. He wasn't diagnosed until his high school years, and it was actually a relief to have an answer as to why certain behaviors were present at times. There's a lot of ignorance in this thread. My brother could recite practically every stat ever printed in a sports almanac. He's an absolute nut about it, and the few times I've been around him picking for tournaments, playoffs, regular games, etc..., he doesn't get them all right, but he's never come out in the red on a series of picks, and I'm sure if I made a good investment at the beginning of the season based on his picks, I'd be pretty well off at the end. It's absolutely amazing everything he knows off the top of his head. His knowledge base in sports alone is greater than my entire knowledge base to include every subject/category. And I also can't stand the use of the word "retard". I used to fling it around all the time, not really aware that it could be so hurtful. I was completely ignorant about it until one of my friends in the Marine Corps had a daughter who was born with Downs Syndrome. It absolutely broke my heart to watch him go through all the pains that such a parent goes through. He loved his little girl more than I've ever seen anyone love their children, and the whole situation was really moving.... Especially being in an environment (the Corps) that was so chock full of ignorance and vulgarity. There were a couple times he went after people who used those sorts of insults around him , not knowing of his situation, and when he politely addressed it, they'd react rather callously. This man had rage issues, and I never once came to the aid of anyone who crossed that line with him. It was almost beautiful to watch him completely pummel someone after they laughed at his attempt to educate them. There's nothing funny about poking fun at mentally challenged people. I hope karma has some surprises in store for the people who think it's "funny" or "cool" to make fun of those not so fortunate. |
