yeah... must have been a big one.

The deltoid can only take like 1.5-2.0cc of injection...

Did you see the syringe? When they go for the ass-shots they are usually rocking one with a pistol grip.

Your ass will burn for a few days too. Its perfectly normal.

+1 when all else fells, doctors will give you a shot of penicillin. It sucks but its the universal cure.

Also depends on the gauge needle they used and who's doing the shot. I gave my wife shots when she was pregnant with our first son, the needle was like a garden hose because progesterone is thick and oil based, that had to be done daily for 2 months straight, only once did she say I hit a spot that cause her serious pain.

I'm an ER nurse, and by your description I know exactly what you got.

They gave you Rocephin, probably 1 gram, and didn't mix it with Lidocaine like they're supposed to. It can technically be mixed with sterile water, but it'll hurt like a son-a-bitch if lidocaine isn't added. That's what we give the fuckers that come in to the ER, state they're having chest pain, and then when you get them to the back, tell you the real reason they're there is they think they have an STD. That'll piss an ER nurse and doctor off, so don't do it. Which is why they get the Rocephin - with no lidocaine.

Oh, some more bad news for you - antibiotics don't work on sinus infections. Several studies have found palcebos have the same rate of cure. Basically what that means is that sinus infections clear on their own. Nasal saline rinses work better and faster.
