Cousin wants to borrow my car

My cousin is graduating from high school on Monday and he asked me if he could borrow my car to drive himself and his GF to the ceremony. He's 17, and to my knowledge has never been in an accident.

At the end of the day you got to tell yourself it's just a car. See if you can put a top speed limiter at like 80 or something. If you let him borrow it, you'd make his day insane whereas when you drive it it's just a normal day. Let him borrow it.

Is he a good driver? Do you trust him? If the answer to both questions are yes, then go ahead!

Yeah, you'd make him a pimp for a day. Imagine if you were in his shoes. And you know if anything did happen, you'd get your money for damages because it's family.

If you had a ferrari I would say no, but you have a 135i, right? I don't see it as being a huge deal, I would let him. In fact, a decent percentage of 135i owners on this board I think are under 18.

Family > material belongings
just make sure you tell him the importance of your car to him and let him know he should be extra careful with it.

Is he asking to take it to his graduation and back, or to borrow it for the day?

Go with your gut on it, but if he takes really good care of his auto, and he's a guy who is receptive to respecting others, then you should definitely be ok with it.

He rides a snowboard with his right foot forward? Nothing wrong with that IMO.

yea im gonna tell him its chipped and that i can view the revs and his highest speed lol

and im gonna let him have it for the day. He's coming over tomorrow to get it.

Im gonna make sure he's not gonna do anything stupid. My car is modded to about 380 whp, so im gonna drill it into his head that he isnt gonna go crazy with it. Sometimes i wish the jb3 had a valet mode haha
