i was among the first to buy the iPhone, then i got the 3G, and then for some reason i wanted a blackberry bold. now i want an iphone again and im not eligible for an upgrade, but my mom is..

so my question is this: could i buy the iphone as an upgrade to her line, then cancel the iphone data plan on her line and add it to mine?

that's what I did last year

Since I had gotten the 3G the day it came out, when I went to get the 3GS the day it came out, my line wasn't eligible

So I used my mom's line and re-signed us to the devil for 2 years

Then I called AT&T 3 days later (to make it look a little legit I guess) I said my mom can't use the phone and can't figure out how to make a call etc etc
Gave them the serial to her LG phone
and said she's using that
and there you go
I have a brand new 3GS

For the 4G, I guess I'm lucky that my line will be usable
