It can only provide a finite amount of volume for the pressures associated with direct-injection. With the engine re-tune it's sucking up all that fuel lower in the rev range which leaves it starved for juice just as things really get going. Boo. The solution will come in the form of a much high-pressure fuel pump, but that's still being developed."

Meh... Sacrilege was putting anemic 4-cylinders in the Mustang. It's not like it has such a pristine history dedicated to V8 power....

Isn't the Mustang getting a 5.0l V8? I remember reading about how nice that engine is. Great to see Ford stepping up their whole line up

We've had a couple of Ford engineers working at my office who've been driving one of these since pre-production. It's a damn nice car inside and out, and the motor obviously has some potential.

This thing is the size of a 7 Series, so a mid 12 second 1/4 mile with just a tune is pretty damn impressive. Obviously it's never going to be a serious track car, but that's not really the purpose of any of the cars in this class.

Nice job by Ford IMO.

Agreed. Ended up making the car look bland, and not in a good way.

I think it looks good, except for the wheels. Those things are awful.

This car is probably much different in person. It's much bigger than it looks in pics, and has quite a presence. I'd imagine this adds to that aspect greatly.
