Sportauto Supertest : 458 Italia
Times have been released for the Supertest and the 458 did the N-ring in 7:38 and Hockenheim in 1:10.5, two times which by all accounts aren't at all shabby. Here is some rival times to see how it compares.

That's a great group of cars listed. Nice to see they are all quite competitive with each other around the track.

What I find amazing is that the Enzo is at a 7:25 on the ring. 13 seconds is a huge difference.
I love the Italia. The fact that it already beat out a 430 Scuderia is impressive. Will there be a 458 Scuderia (or Challenge Stradale, or whatever they will call it)? |

I'm sure there will be something popping up within in a few years. I can't imagine Ferrari getting any more out of that engine or being able to take out any more weight but they always do some magic.

The differences in a single clutch and dual clutch flappy paddle become pretty narrow when driven flat out, they're more significant when trying to act civilized, where the dual clutch has a clear advantage. |

No reason not to think that Ferrari won't do the same with the 458, and considering that they just unveiled their Challenge track car, the Spyder version is next on deck. The question is whether or not they'll release a Challenge road version of their spyder, like they did with the F430 16M.

The Scud has R-compound tires, while assuming the test is fair, the 458 doesn't. Put the 458 on the same tires, and you'd see the real difference. |

i'm hoping to see ring time for the LFA because I still do not think it is a 4.2s car to 60 as posted in the other thread. LOL |

I reckon the LF-A will eclipse all the others, meaning possibly below a 7:30 time.
P.S. What has 0-60mph got to do with N-ring times? Once you have got past the traction issues off the line it's all about grunt, brakes, grip and balance of the chassis, anyhow all these laps are conducted at the starting point travelling at maximum attack mode and not standing starts. LOL |

I don't really care to debate Ring times all that much, but I'm impressed. The 458 is fast.

personally i love the sls amg look. seen it at the dealer 2 weeks ago and it is pure sex. i think it is the car that will continue to look good for years to come. if merc come out with a limit edition sls amg gt3 with the widebody like their race version, that would be epic.
