How fast are they with mugen headers, injen intake and full exhaust? I hear the K20 is a pretty solid engine, but would one with the mods be able to beat a bone stock 6MT 335i?

Even with i/h/e, they're pretty slow. My friend had one with the aforementioned mods and I drove it, did the whole 9k redline, and sure it sounded loud, but we were going nowhere.

Back in the days, when I was still into "who's faster than who"..a lot of the DC5 dudes with i/h/e and sometimes Hondata would do freeway pulls against Evo's, G35's, and STi's, and would win.

I came from an RSX Type S as my first car actually. It's a fun ride but has no-where near the acceleration capability as the 335i. I think the 1/4 mile time for a stock RSX S is around 16.2sec. A header, intake and exhaust isn't going to make that much of a difference.

If you have a 335i and want to race the RSX Type S I'd race from a stand still... torque will be vastly on your side. The K20 doesn't make ANY torque lol. It won't even be close to a race if you know what you're doing.

If you want to race an RSXs with a 335i, you need your school lunch card revoked.

You could pretty much start forget you were racing... wake up... and then catch up and beat the RSX Type S in a race.

That being said I don't think its fair to talk crap about Honda when they make a perfectly good product and others like the S2000--- which is arguably a better drivers car than any modern 3 series.

The RSX-S isn't a 16 second car.... High 14s / low 15s is what they would do stock.

Low to mid 6s to 60mph.

It isn't that slow but a 335 will kill it.

You couldn't possibly compare an S2000 to a 3 series. An M Coupe/M Roadster would be more like it.

Not even close. On a roll the RSX-S is slow. From dig it's pretty quick but a 335I will kill it...I had too RSX-S with bolt ons. It's the only car that I miss.
