I'm out!

Been thinking of getting rid of my 08 e90 for a while for something a little sportier since it's just a weekend car. A friend called me up with an offer I couldn't refuse. 2010 premium 1400 miles.

Nice choice. Enjoy the GT-R in good health and by all means, take it to the track!

Congrats. Nice car.

I've recently put my E92 up for sale looking to get the GTR.

From my test drive, there is quite a fair bit of transmission whine as speed builds up. Other than that the car is pretty comfortable and the sound is mint with an aftermarket exhaust.

I will definitely miss the RWD fun the E92 provides.

I find the whine "mean", like the car means business.

It does go away though after about 160km/h

I hear ya.

It almost sounds like a Sequential dogbox.

Now this is a transmission whine -->

Is that you in the video ? Doesn't sound stock.

Awesome upgrade. Can't go wrong with it. Do a comparison write up as against your m3.

That's me, yes.

I have a midpipe(a must), intakes & a tune. Top end was about 12km/hr faster than the 3 stock GTR's at the same event.

Is Midpipe generally the main restriction in the exhaust system ?

The GTR I test drove had aftermarket midpipes but retained stock mufflers.

I was planning to get AMS's 90mm catless midpipes but depending on where the O2 is located, I might get CEL.

Yeah, the stock midpipes really hamper flow & sound. There O2 sensors are before the mid pipes, so no CEL.

Nice upgrade. Great looking car. It's so...nerdy looking which I mean as a 100% compliment. It looks awesomely nerdy like the Lexus LF-A which I also love.

Enjoy the car!

As a side note, I bet it'd be a blast in an empty snow covered parking lot.

Great car. I think it looks awesome no matter what anyone says. I just wish they offered a proper manual. Either way sick ride and an upgrade for sure.
